Vivo is a big smartphone brand in India and after making its
hold in the offline market, the company is now focusing on the online market.
Vivo recently launched its latest Vivo Z1 Pro in India, which will be sold only
at the e-commerce site Flipkart. This new and latest smartphone of Vivo is
specially designed for Zen Zed customers, who also want the latest look with
good look in the phone. Vivo Z1 Pro is equipped with great processing power for
good camera, battery life and gaming.
It appears that Vivo has studied the current market trends
to design Vivo Z1 Pro. Will this Vibo brand's smartphone be able to compete
with Xiaomi, Realme and Samsung's phones, it will be a thing to watch. Today,
we will review Vivo Z1 Pro and see if Vivo Z1 Pro can make its place in the
list of the best smartphones found in our next 20,000 rupees.
Design of Vivo Z1 Pro
The first thing you will notice after watching the front
panel of Vivo Z1 Pro is its overshared screen. On the left side of the screen
is the hole in which the front camera has got place. The camera hole is not big
enough, nor does it distract you from using the phone throughout the day. The
screen protector was on our Vivo Z1 Pro review unit sent by Vivo. Normal use of
the phone also marks the plastic film.
The Vivo Z1 Pro comes with an attractive glossy plastic rear
panel which comes with multi-color gradient finish. The color of our review
unit is Sonic Blue and on top of its back panel is Emerald Green which can be
found with Cobalt Blue. Colors are retired, as well as when the light comes on
the back panel, the effect is seen.
Vivo Z1 Pro's front and back panel design focuses attention
on you. Not only this, you will also get a fingerprint sensor for security on
the back panel of the phone. On the right side of the phone on the power and
volume buttons, there will be a SIM and MicroSD card tray on the left side of
the phone. Just below it is the Google Assistant button.
Vivo Z1 Pro has two nano-SIM slots and a separate MicroSD
card slot. The Google Assistant button can not be assigned for another
function. We were disappointed that Vivo is still giving Micro-USB port in its
latest smartphone such as Vivo Z1 Pro. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack and
speaker grill at the bottom of the phone.
Vivo Z1 Pro is getting a look at the Vivo Y17 model which is
equipped with the same dimensions and styling. Weibo Z1 Pro weighs a bit more
than 201 grams but its thickness is 8.85 millimeters. In the retail box you get
a flexible plastic case, a heavy weight of 18 watt, a micro-USB cable, a 3.5 mm
wired headset, a SIM eject pin and a few pills.
Vivo Z1 Pro Specifications and Software
Vivo Z1 Pro is the first phone in India that is equipped
with Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor. This chipset was introduced as
Snapdragon 710 processor in the beginning of this year and it is based on the
10nm processor. There are six 1.7 GHz Kryo 360 Silver Corps for power and two
2.3 GHz Kryo 360 Gold Corps have been used for power.
Along with it, the integrated Adreno 616 and X15 LTE modems
have been given for graphics. It is said that compared to Snapdragon 710, this
new chipset provides better performance up to 10 percent and 25 percent better
performance than snapdragon 660. The starting price of Vivo Z1 Pro is 14,990
rupees. There will be a 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant.
The phone's 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage model will be sold
for 16,990 rupees. The most powerful variant is equipped with 6 GB RAM and 128
GB storage and it will be sold for 17,990 rupees. Vivo Z1 Pro has 6.53 inch
full-HD + (1080x2340 pixels) IPS display. Vivo Z1 Pro's battery is 5,000 mAh
and it supports fast charging up to 18 watt.
In this phone of Vivo brand, the company's own dual-engine
fast charging technology has been used. Apart from this, dual-band Wi-Fi and
Bluetooth version 5 are included, but you will not get NFC and FM radio. In
addition to all the normal sensors, Vivo Z1 Pro also includes a gyroscope and
e-compass.
Vivo's phones run on the FanTouch OS, which are very heavily
modified for Android 9. The main feature of the FunTouch OS is a game
enhancement, which Vieu has called the game mode, but it has been called in
different places in the game cube and game box in the UI. This includes special
optimization for PubJy Mobile.
Apart from that there is 4D vibration and you will be able
to enjoy 3D surround sound. Vivo Z1 Pro has a countdown feature that will help
you do other things until you reach your next round. Vivo Z1 Pro has an Esports
mode that will close all running applications in the background, as well as
disabling template throttling to block notifications and increase performance.
According to Vivo, future features will be added in Vivo Z1 Pro by future
updates, including voice chat filters.
Performance of Vivo Z1 Pro, battery life and cameras
As a result of competition, one thing is good that the
smartphones are being lowered at a lower price, that is, today the budget has
enough power to use the smartphone every day. We did not slow down the phone
while using Vivo Z1 Pro After heavy modification, the performance OS did not
show any kind of performance problem.
We have a Vivo Z1 Pro 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant for
review. The display of Vivo Z1 Pro is very sharp and clear in all situations.
The viewing angles of the phone are also good, but we feel that some people
will find that the colors are not as vivid as they are on a phone with amoled
panels.
You can adjust color temperature and system-wide dark mode,
however all third-party apps do not recognize this as a cup. The status bar
given in the upper part of the screen is quite thick, which surrounds the front
camera hole when using the FanTouch OS UI and the apps that do not come to
full-screen.
Looking at the video on Vivo Z1 Pro, we felt this a little
distracting. Quick Diagnostic showed that the phone only supports Widevine L3
DRM, which means you will not be able to stream HD content on Netflix. The
sound from a single speaker in the lower part of the phone comes very fast, but
it starts disturbing in a loud voice.
Looks like apple earpods to see the headset coming with the
phone, but the voice is just fine for the call. Snapdragon 712 processor gives
the Slide Edge to Viejo Z1 Pro and at this price it can be attractive to
customers who need the latest specification at this price. But it is difficult
at this time to tell how much difference comes in everyday use.
If you are tuned with Realm 3 Pro (Review) and Oppo R 17 Pro
(Review), then both Snapdragon 710 processors have been used in smartphones.
CPU-heavy benchmark scores are substantially higher, while GPU-centric tests
have seen minor improvements. During full-screen gaming the camera dot does not
interfere because it was almost always covered by our thumb.
PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9: Legends Both games play smooth on
the high settings. You should tell people for information that the phone was
only slightly hot. The battery life of Vivo Z1 Pro was also very good. We were
able to use Vivo Z1 Pro for more than one and a half days and we have included
the use of 4G data, streaming some videos, drawing lots of photos and playing
games for about an hour.
In our HD Video Loop Test, Vivo Z1 Pro took 18 hours and 32
minutes. The 18 watt charger coming out of Vivo Z1 Pro is very fast and we were
surprised to see the Vevo Dual Engine Fast Charging with the Thirt Party
Charger. However, this phone gets hot when the phone is charging faster.
Three rear cameras are equipped with Vivo Z1 Pro. On the
back, there is a 16 megapixel primary sensor with F / 1.78 lens, an 8-megapixel
secondary sensor with 120 degree super wide angle lens and a third sensor of 2
megapixels. There is a 32-megapixel sensor for selfie craps. Its aperture is F
/ 2.0.
Camera features such as Ai Filter, Backlight HDR, Portrait
Bokeh, Portrait Light Effects, AI Stickers, AI Beauty, and Live Photo are part
of this phone. If you talk about Vivo's camera app UI, the switching button
between the primary and wide-angle camera is small. Apart from this, instead of
giving portrait mode for the depth effect, a different button has been given.
In the video mode, options like Slo-Motion and Time Laps are
hidden in the menu. We were quite impressed with the pictures taken from Vivo
Z1 Pro. Colors were good in pictures and details were captured in the Focus
area well. In most cases, natural and artificial texts look good. Wide-angle
shots with a secondary rear camera were very few crisps and they looked
over-processed. There was also a slight warting on the edges of the frame.
After enabling the Deep Effect, we were able to draw some
good pictures with Smooth Background Blur, although the Age Detection was not
perfect at all. You can adjust the level of Blur even after taking a shot in
Vivo's album app. The photos taken at night also got good. Noyce was also in
control and the colors were captured rightly. But as expected, there was some
blur in the picture with moving object.
Please tell that Boy's default video is recorded at 1280x720
and there is a slight grain on this resolution. You can shoot video from 30fps
to 4k with Vivo Z1 Pro. Vivo has not said anything about video stabilization in
the specification sheet of the phone. While shooting a video, you can not
switch between standard and wide-angle lenses. Photos taken from the front
camera were also good. You will not get a depth effect or portrait mode, but
you can apply the lighting effect, which is somewhat like a subtle filter.
